Lottery money and the Orange Order

Dear Sir,

Your headline, “HARDLINE Orangemen have criticised organisers of a Twelfth festival for accepting lottery funding.” (21st July 2010) is very deceiving.

The Grand Orange Lodge of Ireland has already determined that the Loyal Orange Institution of Ireland should NOT accept funding from the National Lottery.

Surely the Orange Reformation Group, though perhaps unaware of this decision, should not be designated as ‘hardline’ for upholding the policy of the Grand Lodge?

Yours etc.
